![]() I'd appreciate if you could please help out. Though execution of commands are successful, the. I have tried bootrec with all options and 'bootsect /nt60 SYS /mbr'. It found 0 OS installed even though the Windows directory was still there. I switched to the command prompt and issued 'bootrec /scanos'. Repair disc could not repair the problem. I can however start windows 7 if I have installation dvd in the drive. Suddenly, I cannot boot into Windows 7 Ultimate. ![]() I might also mention that I have windows 7 installed on my main harddrive but I also have another harddrive that I'm using just for storage (I'm not sure if I have windows xp installed on it). ![]() I've also restored the system to a previous restore point but that didn't help either. I've tried to do a startup repair using my recovery cd but it says that it could not detect any problems. But when I try to start the computer now it says Bootmgr is missing. The boot sector has been corrupted somehow. I recently unplugged an replugged the power cord on my computer. The boot sector gives way to non-standard boot Windows Vista and Windows 7-10.
